Happy 90210 Day!!! To some of you that just means plain old it is September 2, 2010 or 9-02-10. To me, that means the best show EVER on TV! Well, used to be on regular TV, now thank goodness for Beverly Hills 90210 reruns on Soapnet! I started watching 90210 when it first aired back debuted 1990. I watched as my favorite group of teens grew into adults for 10 years. While they were still on regular TV, Soapnet started with the reruns. So I got to start from the beginning and watch as the show ended. When the final show aired with Donna and David's wedding, I cried! I felt I had lost my friends! But again, re runs, YAY! They are usually on twice a day Monday-Friday and several episodes on the weekends. These are DVR'd! I cannot tell you how many times I have watched these episodes. I used to keep in a secret because nobody I knew liked the show like me. Until I met Mike! One of the first times we talked was at a party. I casually mentioned to someone that I wish I had Kelly's hair from 90210 and he heard me, and long story short, we talked for 2 hours about 90210! I know, go ahead and make fun! But I knew from that moment it was meant to be with us!!!! Now I have someone who loves the show like I do! Oh, we have our favorite episodes: one of mine is on right now-the Dillon/Antonia wedding! Another favorite is when the gang do a "real life" skit for David's film class and Brandon plays the "skater/biker" type kid! Hated the Ray Pruitt years, Dillon's herion, Kelly's short hair coke year, and Matt was cheesy! Loved the Susan Keats/Brandon pairing, the Beach Club, and well....I could go on and on! Here is one topic I think my baby will agree with me on-Beverly Hills 90210 will always be the best show ever made and we will always share 90210 passion! LOL! If summer has to end, at least it ends with a 90210 marathon on Soapnet on Labor Day! I'm just sayin....
As my baby said, "90210 will always be the best show ever made"! I too remember when I started watching the show in 1990 and I also know the feeling Casey felt growing with the cast on the show and having it come to an end with the David and Donna wedding and the thought that maybe Dylan and Kelly final ended up together! I really know how she felt about keeping it quiet because no one liked it and I'm a man! LOL! So I couldnt talk about the way dorky David danced to David becoming a stud, the height of Steve's nut-hugging jeans or Jersey Shore like tanks, about how ugly Brenda was, how Nat always had a cheesy line but yet was in about 130 of the episodes,Andrea was 40 when she started the show, how Donna went from no lines in the first few episodes to becoming THE show in the end, holier than thou Brandon who got a DUI, slept with a professors wife and knocked up Kelly... Speaking of Kelly, who can forget the cocaine year and OMG did she go from happy go lucky high schooler to MEGA bit$h! And Dylan had the drunk years, herion years, the my wife was murdered year and so many things in between! Then Casey and I talked about the show for that 2 hours that night and I could let it all out!!! It really was love at first talk and listen!! I could talk about all the bit roles people had and all of the stars that were on the show - wow I could go on forever but I will leave you with one of my favorite episodes: The episode where Dylan and Matt (OMG turd ball) went dirt bike riding in the desert and Matt drank acid spiked punch and danced at the rave shirtless handing out business cards introducing himself as "Matt Durning Attorney At Law"... probably not funny to any of you reading this but very funny to my baby and I... Got to go- Casey just hit play on the DVR! I'm just sayin...
