To some of you that just means plain old it is September 2, 2010 or 9-02-10. To me, that means the best show EVER on TV! Well, used to be on regular TV, now thank goodness for Beverly Hills 90210 reruns on Soapnet! I started watching 90210 when it first aired back debuted 1990. I watched as my favorite group of teens grew into adults for 10 years. While they were still on regular TV, Soapnet started with the reruns. So I got to start from the beginning and watch as the show ended. When the final show aired with Donna and David's wedding, I cried! I felt I had lost my friends! But again, re runs, YAY! They are usually on twice a day Monday-Friday and several episodes on the weekends. These are DVR'd! I cannot tell you how many times I have watched these episodes. I used to keep in a secret because nobody I knew liked the show like me. Until I met Mike! One of the first times we talked was at a party. I casually mentioned to someone that I wish I had Kelly's hair from 90210 and he heard me, and long story short, we talked for 2 hours about 90210! I know, go ahead and make fun! But I knew from that moment it was meant to be with us!!!! Now I have someone who loves the show like I do! Oh, we have our favorite episodes: one of mine is on right now-the Dillon/Antonia wedding! Another favorite is when the gang do a "real life" skit for David's film class and Brandon plays the "skater/biker" type kid! Hated the Ray Pruitt years, Dillon's herion, Kelly's short hair coke year, and Matt was cheesy! Loved the Susan Keats/Brandon pairing, the Beach Club, and well....I could go on and on! Here is one topic I think my baby will agree with me on-Beverly Hills 90210 will always be the best show ever made and we will always share 90210 passion! LOL! If summer has to end, at least it ends with a 90210 marathon on Soapnet on Labor Day! I'm just sayin....
As my baby said, "90210 will always be the best show ever made"! I too remember when I started watching the show in 1990 and I also know the feeling Casey felt growing with the cast on the show and having it come to an end with the David and Donna wedding and the thought that maybe Dylan and Kelly final ended up together! I really know how she felt about keeping it quiet because no one liked it and I'm a man! LOL! So I couldnt talk about the way dorky David danced to David becoming a stud, the height of Steve's nut-hugging jeans or Jersey Shore like tanks, about how ugly Brenda was, how Nat always had a cheesy line but yet was in about 130 of the episodes,Andrea was 40 when she started the show, how Donna went from no lines in the first few episodes to becoming THE show in the end, holier than thou Brandon who got a DUI, slept with a professors wife and knocked up Kelly... Speaking of Kelly, who can forget the cocaine year and OMG did she go from happy go lucky high schooler to MEGA bit$h! And Dylan had the drunk years, herion years, the my wife was murdered year and so many things in between! Then Casey and I talked about the show for that 2 hours that night and I could let it all out!!! It really was love at first talk and listen!! I could talk about all the bit roles people had and all of the stars that were on the show - wow I could go on forever but I will leave you with one of my favorite episodes: The episode where Dylan and Matt (OMG turd ball) went dirt bike riding in the desert and Matt drank acid spiked punch and danced at the rave shirtless handing out business cards introducing himself as "Matt Durning Attorney At Law"... probably not funny to any of you reading this but very funny to my baby and I... Got to go- Casey just hit play on the DVR! I'm just sayin...

In the Raw....

Wow! Title kinda makes you wonder what we are going to write about, huh? Well, it is one of my favorite things in the world to put in my mouth. It is sweet, gooey, yet smooth and chunky at the same time and so satisfying...and I like it raw. Chocolate Chip cookie dough batter of course!!!! My all time favorite thing to eat. It works for all occasions: PMS, a fight, a celebration, a sweet tooth- you name it, it works for anything. I have bought the roll kind to pick some off a little at a time, the break and bake to pop a whole raw cookie in my mouth, the tubs of the cookies that you just spoon some out and bake but my favorite is HOME MADE dough! Who doesnt love to take a scoop on your finger or lick a beater? I will tell you who: my husband. OMG! He seriously thinks it is gross to eat raw cookie dough! What? (and I married this man? jk!) He has some hang up about the raw eggs and making me sick. I tell him if Rocky can drink raw eggs, why can't I eat them with sugar and chocolate?? So this past weekend we make some cookies. (I have to add here we are on the quest for the PERFECTLY made chocolate chip cookie. We think we have the recipe but it is all in the preparation, but that is another story for another day!) I think "YES!" and "YUM!" So we get to makin' the cookies, I'm all happy, mixin' away when I go in for a taste and baby yells "NO BABY! Raw eggs!" I now think "HUH?" and "WHAT?" No cookie dough? NO! Especially now with the egg recall he tells me. OK-so I concede because of the egg recall (well I still had 2 or 3 little bites). But why suggest the cookies in the first place? That was a waste of good batter in my book! Well, I guess not a total waste, the cookies still seemed to end in my mouth which in turn ends up collecting on my butt but thats a whole other issue. I just don't understand depriving me of joy! LOL! I'm just sayin...

Yeah Baby!!!! oh.... you were talking about cookie dough in your first few lines.. got excited for a minute!! Reading on I'm just grossed out! Raw dough with RAW eggs?? OMG... gross! We have made many batches of cookies and yes, we are on the search for the perfect batch! The first batch we ever made was near perfect, ever since we just haven't gotten it right. Maybe that is because you are only concerned with the raw dough?? Actually, we have yet to figure out the issue, but that search will continue and we will make the perfect batch! Ok - so this raw thing you have?? If you like raw eggs, perhaps you will like raw fish? or raw steak? Perhaps some under cooked chicken?? I just dont get it.. you are a germaphobe, have hand sanitizer everywhere and you, YOU of all people eat raw cookie dough?? LOL! Cookie dough ice cream?? I will eat that but I have no knowledge of the way the cookie dough is put in there... and really it is frozen so it makes it ok, right?? LOL! I'm sure there are lots of people who enjoy the raw cookie dough but really, isnt it better when it is cooked, right out of the oven with a big glass of cold milk?? To me that is the best form of cookie or dough for that matter! I'm just sayin....

The Driver versus the Passenger...

First off, sorry for the late posting! It has been a busy week being gone on our honeymoon, which we renamed, our familymoon, and getting back to work and the normal household things! So speaking of our familymoon, we had a great week at Michigan Adventure(the matching outfits Paige came up with say it all!), Grand Haven and the Sleeping Bear Dunes. We stayed an extra day to play in the gorgeous weather up north, sun and sand everyday! The day we headed home though, our weather luck ran out. We woke to clouds and it just continued to get darker and darker by the minute. By the time we started making good time on the road, it started to rain. The term "rain" I use loosley. It POURED, and I again use that term loosely. We drove through torential downpour. I have never seen rain come down that hard for 3 solid hours. The wipers on high did NOTHING to help clear the sight which was about 2 feet in front of the car. So what is the problem here? In typical male fashion, Mike reassured me everytime I stopped breathing that "We're fine". LOL! Fine? Uh, we couldnt see a dang thing out the window! I would have pulled over and cried if it was me driving! By the time we were driving through construction roads(it is Michigan of course) I couldnt watch anymore. He drove with one hand while his other held mine (very sweet if our lives were not in jeopardy)! We FINALLY get to this side of Lansing and the rain let up so you could at least see the car tail lights in front of us when he says "wow, my nerves are shot from this drive!" Ya think? LOL! (I will admit though that when we were looking for something in Empire Michigan that we couldn't find, he did stop and ask for directions) Thanks for getting us home safely baby, but next time I have 2 words for you-PULL OVER! I'm just sayin....

First of all as Casey said, we had a fantastic week in NW Michigan! To be able to spend that time with my beautiful wife and our 3 amazing children was priceless! The weather was perfect until the day we left... Yes it rained, yes it poured, yes the windshield wipers were on high flopping back and forth like a fish out of water, yes I couldn't see "that" much out of the window, but we were FINE! LOL! Pull over?? Seriously? Why would I do something like that?? We were only going 55 and I could see the road... a little... so why would I pull over? I mean I had a GPS that was showing me the curves in the road!! (thank God for that, lol) See ladies, us men are born with the ability to drive in all sorts of weather and NOT pull off the road and cry!! Why would you do that anyways? Please somneone explain that one to me! I did try and break the tension of the ride with a very funny quote from a total guy movie - Caddyshack - "I don't think the heavy stuff is going to come down for quite a while" was met with a blank stare! Baby that was funny and so well timed!! I ALWAYS hold Casey's hand while I drive, that certainly wasn't the time to change that up, as I would have missed out on the nails digging into my skin and the moisture build up on your hands! LOL! Will I pull over the next time?? probably not... but I will say this - I will ALWAYS make sure the most important things in my life, my wife and girls are always safe and if that means pulling over I will... BUT NO CRYING! I'm just saying.....

Can a girl have too many bags or flip flops?

So we are in the middle of packing up the apartment, moving my stuff to our new house and from the bedroom I hear a "Oh Dear God" come from Mike, and might I add not in a good way ;). I walk in and say "Baby what's wrong?" and I see he has reached up to top of the closet and under the bed and has discovered my stash of bags and flip flops. He looks at me and says "Seriously?" and I am like "What??", and he says "What in the world would you need all these things for?' and I said--well you get the picture! He is horrified by the number of shoes and bags I had, and I must add here, there is NOT that many!! I will say I LOVE flip flips and bags! Especially bags! All kinds- colorful, big, small, stripes, the free with purchase ones you get from buying Clinque make up (love those), and Jazzercise bags. There are cooler bags, make up bags, small purses for the small events, big for big events! There is the day trip bag, the overnight bag, the airplane carry on bag (which I bought the CUTEST stripe one for our trip that I explained just screamed VEGAS BABY when I was at the store.) There really is a bag for every occasion and situation. Personally, I have a bag for suncreen, beach toys, beach towels, food and just the extras to spend the day outside for the summer alone. I explained to him that every bag has a purpose! He looked at me like I had just grown 3 heads! WHAT? Then I had to go on to explain the flip flips. Different colors, styles, fit, beach, dress up, outside work, jazzercise-again the list goes on! There is a flip flip for every occasion and situation just like the bags! I personally find this VERY logical and necessary and does not need an explantion nor justification, right ladies?? I will always be on the look out for the perfect bag or flip flop, because you never know WHAT situation you may find yourself in. See you at the alter baby! I'm just sayin....

ARE YOU KIDDING ME BERNAICHE?? (well in 1 day....) Let's start with bags, shall we? I have 1 bag that can serve many occasions and you have how many?? I'm going to guess 25 minimum. Heck, it took it 2 car trips back and forth when we were moving to bring them all over. So I pull the box down with at least 12 bags in it, and how many of them have I ever laid eyes on?? maybe 2 - SERIOUSLY?? Yes, the "Vegas Baby" bag was nice but I'm certain you had 8 others to do the job! Maybe they screamed "Tulsa baby" or "Charlotte Baby" but they would have done the job and Vegas would have been none the wiser! Baby, lets be honest... you have bags that their only purpose is to hold the other bags!!!
So now we move on to filp flops! Mother of God this is a illness! When I say she has a lot, I mean she can fill up 2 large totes! I guess it would be ok if when you bought a pair of flip flops we tossed a couple away - but NOOOOOOOOO! Here is a little story to back this point up... So Casey has a favorite pair of black flip flop type things, not really sure what to call them but I do know this..... THEY HAD A BAD STINK! So we search and buy a new pair to replace the old pair thinking that we could finally be rid of the stinky pair! NOPE, they sat outside and I'm guessing that Casey had the hope that perhaps a few months of fresh air would cure the smell. We finally threw them out, MONTHS later. Ladies, is it too much to ask that when we buy a bag or a pair of flip flops we get rid of the older ones?? See YOU at the alter baby! I'm just saying....

Bathroom Etiquette

I hate to visit an age old topic but who ever taught boys how to pee? I mean really- the standing, the shaking..WHAT?? Proper bathroom etiquette is sitting on the receptacle, doing your business, properly wiping, flushing and moving about your day! I came to this realization as Mike and I are pretty open about our bathroom peeing! Too much info? LOL! But it mostly comes from that we talk so much that neither of us shuts up long enough to stop conversation to take a bathroom break. So the boy process is this: stand, start to go, spray in different directions, shake off the excess and flush. Where may I ask do boys think this "excess" shake goes?? Let me answer this for you boys: everywhere but where pee should be! Down the outside of the bowl, on the rug around the toilet, on the cabinet next to the toilet and god forbid a good shake could land on my toothbrush! Or your OWN toothbrush! I think my biggest problem with the whole thing is the shake! What would be wrong with getting a little square of toilet paper, dab the end and properly flush the "excess"? I mean have you EVER seen one of us girls just get up from the potty and SHAKE? As the cleaner of the receptacle, the rug washer, and cabinet cleaner, I think this is the best solution to the age old debate! So rally around me ladies! Push the little square of toilet on your men and save yourselves a little "excess" cleaning! I'm just sayin.....

Who taught boys how to pee?? hmm... let's think.. our fathers who were taught by their fathers and originally I would guess God. He did give us this "thing" we pee out of! So your suggestion is to take a little square of toliet paper and dab?? Well FIRST of all, it would have to be a LARGE square of toliet paper. Woman- please never talk about anything small when discussing any topic that relates to that area!! But really - how green of us is that? I'm sorry that us men care about the enviroment and the needless killing of many beautiful trees... not to metion the cost of toliet paper - - OMG seriously!! (another topic for another day). Plus us men get surrounded by all sorts of girly things in the bathroom - cant we just stand and pee? Keep some shred of manhood? You asked if anyone has ever seen a woman stand and shake?? Why YES I have seen you stand and shake, when you decided to test this theory out- OMG that was funny!! Looked like a Jazzercise routine gone WAY wrong! Ok, seriously - what is the answer? It certainly isn't the use of toliet paper. Perhaps we should be allowed to install urinals in our home bathrooms. We could shake all we want then! (well not too much, you know that old saying) or perhaps we can just sit and pee?? I guess that way I could catch up on some good magazines I haven't read. Or maybe we just stand, pee, shake, go about our day, and keep a little bit of our manhood! I'm just sayin...

Happy 4th of July!

Who are we?
